3 Ingredient Strawberry Mousse Recipe!

Hello lovelies,

Is it just me who finds mousse’s really nostalgic? I don’t know if kids these days have this but every pack lunch my mum use to make me up, without a doubt had a chocolate mousse in. Anyone else?

Back a couple of years ago, I actually made the most incredible chocolate mousse, it was for a halloween bake I did and you guys loved it (https://ellegracedeveson.com/2020/10/04/chocolate-mousse-graveyards-recipe/). So, I’m back today, with another mousse, only this time, it’s quick, easy and a totally different flavour.

One flavour I use to absolutely hate was strawberry, I don’t know what it was but I couldn’t stand it. As of recently, I’ve done a total 360 and I’m absolutely obsessed with anything that has strawberry flavouring. Isn’t it strange how tastebuds practically change overnight?

Anyway, I was recently scrolling through Pinterest when I came across this strawberry mousse which was 3… YES 3! ingredients only. Now that statement alone drew me in. Then, add in the strawberry flavouring and ya girl was sold!

So after making it myself and quite literally falling head over heels in love, it was only right I share the recipe with you guys so you too can experience this goodness.

If this mousse sounds up your street and you are wanting to gobble this up yourself, you know what to do… keep on scrolling! The recipes below:

Category: Desert / Sweet Treat

Serves: 6

Prep Time: 20 Minutes

Chilling Time: 2 Hours

Overall Time: 2+ Hours

Ingredients You Need:

  • 700g Of Frozen Strawberries, Defrosted
  • 125g Of Granulated Sugar
  • 300ml Of Double Cream

How To Make The Strawberry Mousse:

  • Firstly, gather together your equipment and ingredients and wash the 6 glasses.
  • Secondly, in a large blender, add the 700g of defrosted strawberries and 125g of granulated sugar and blend into a purée.
  • Now, in a large mixing bowl, using an electric whisk, beat the 300ml of double cream until stiff peaks form (TIP: always keep a close eye whilst whisking cream as it goes from runny to over whipped very quickly).
  • Next, pour half of the puréed strawberries into the large mixing bowl and using a rubber spatula very gently fold the purée into the whipped cream until fully combined.
  • Place the strawberry mousse into a piping bag and set aside for a moment.
  • Divide the remaining purée between the bottoms of the six glasses as evenly as possible.
  • Pipe the strawberry mousse on top of the strawberry purée until the glass is full.
  • Once the glasses are full, place into the fridge for 2+ hours to chill.
  • Finally, take out the fridge and top with some meringue kisses or a strawberry. Now it’s ready to serve.

That’s your 3 Ingredient Strawberry Mousse prepared and chilled, ready for you to enjoy!
