Kinder Bueno Flapjacks Recipe!

Hello lovelies,

I’ve said this before and I’ll continue to shout it from the rooftops: I absolutely love how versatile flapjacks are.

Now, I’ll be honest, I’m really not your girl if you’re here wanting a nice and healthy flapjack. I am, however, your girl if you’re here and you like your flapjacks to be ultra indulgent, ever-so-slightly naughty and utterly scrumptious.

If you’re a kinder lover, these flapjacks I’m sharing with you today will be right up your street!

They celebrate everything good about kinder. From the white hazelnut spread (basically the inside of a kinder bueno) and the mini chocolate kinder bars mixed within and throughout the flapjack, to the white chocolate and white hazelnut spread topping, to the kinder bueno pieces on top – these flapjacks are a kinder lovers dream.

I mean, we all knew anything kinder would be delicious in a flapjack but these actually exceeded my expectations and they’re my flapjack recipe haha.

So, if you’re feeling like now is the perfect time to make a batch of delicious flapjack to indulge upon this coming week, you know the drill. Keep on scrolling below and you’ll find today’s recipe.

Category: Sweet Treat

Servings: 16 Small Pieces

Prep Time: 10 Minutes

Bake Time: 20-25 Minutes

Decorating Time: 10 Minutes

Overall Time: 1+ Hours

Ingredients You Need For The Flapjack:

  • 150g Of Unsalted Butter
  • 150g Of White Hazelnut Spread
  • 60g Of Light Brown Sugar
  • 150g Of Golden Syrup
  • 300g Of Rolled Oats
  • 100g Of Kinder Chocolate, Chopped

Ingredients You Need To Decorate:

  • 300g Of White Chocolate
  • 15g Of Unsalted Butter
  • 60g Of White Hazelnut Spread, Loosened
  • 9-16 White Kinder Bueno Pieces

How To Make The Flapjacks:

  • Firstly, gather together your equipment and ingredients, line a 8” square, loose-bottomed baking tin with parchment paper and preheat the oven to 180C / 160C Fan / Gas Mark 4.
  • Secondly, in a large saucepan, over a medium-low heat, melt the 150g of unsalted butter, 150g of white hazelnut spread, 60g of light brown sugar and 150g of golden syrup, until the sugar has dissolved and the mixture is silky smooth (do not bring to the boil).
  • Once melted, remove from the heat and mix in the 300g of rolled oats and 100g of kinder chocolate until they’re fully coated.
  • Pour the flapjack mixture into the prepared baking tin and using a spatula, spread the flapjack across the base of the tin evenly and gently press down to compact.
  • Place the flapjack into the oven to bake for 20-25 minutes, until slightly wobbly in the centre with golden edges and the mixture still looks ‘wet’.
  • When baked, remove the flapjack from the oven and allow to cool right down to room temperature whilst still in the tin.

How To Decorate:

  • Once the flapjack has cooled, it’s time to decorate.
  • In a heatproof bowl, over a bain-marie which is on a low heat, melt together the 300g of white chocolate and 15g of butter until fully melted and smooth.
  • Now, in a separate heatproof bowl, melt 60g of white hazelnut spread spread until loosened. Once loosened, immediately transfer into a piping bag.
  • Pour the melted white chocolate over the flapjack and spread the chocolate mixture out evenly across the flapjack.
  • Give the baking tin a gentle shake to smooth the chocolate out.
  • Drizzle the melted white hazelnut spread over the top of the melted white chocolate, then using a knife, drag the knife through the topping to create a feathered effect.
  • Place 9-16 (depending on how your cutting the flapjacks) white kinder bueno pieces ontop of the chocolate and press down gently.
  • Place into the fridge for minimum of 1 hour to allow the topping to set.
  • Finally, once set, carefully remove from the baking tin and cut the flapjack into 9 large pieces or 16 smaller pieces.

That’s your Kinder Bueno Flapjacks prepared, baked, decorated and chilled, ready for you to enjoy

Notes:

  • These flapjacks should be stored in an airtight container, at room temperature for up to 5 days.
  • This flapjack doesn’t have to have the white chocolate and kinder bueno topping, it’s just as delicious plain.
  • You can use any spread when recreating this bake, they will all taste super yummy.
  • I brought the White Hazelnut Spread from Morrisons which I’ve linked here: https://groceries.morrisons.com/products/morrisons-white-chocolate-hazelnut-spread/110797604
