Hello lovelies,
It’s been a hot damn minute since I shared a rice krispie bar recipe with you guys, so long so that I can’t even remember when the last time was, therefore, I felt it was about time i pulled my finger out and shared with you a brand spanking new recipe today.
Oh and did I mention that this brand spanking new recipe I’m sharing with you today is another no-bake recipe? I’m really treating you guys this week *wink wink*.
On a serious note, what is better than a no-bake rice krispie bar that won’t have you gasping for air in a hot kitchen, that is super quick and easy to make, uses 5 (yup 5!!) ingredients only and contains an absurd amount of nutella?
Yup, that’s right my loves, today’s rice krispie bars contains the unbelievably delicious nutella and boy, does it hero nutella perfectly!
It uses nutella within both the rice krispie bar itself and on the topping so with every bite you take, you fall deeper and deeper into a nutella coma. It’s a nutella lovers dream.
My loved ones absolutely loved these rice krispie bars so I can say with chest that you and yours will too.
So, if you’d like to make these rice krispie bars yourself, you know the drill. Keep on scrolling below and you’ll find today’s recipe.

Category: Sweet Treat
Servings: Up To 16 Pieces
Prep Time: 20 Minutes
Decorating Time: 10 Minutes
Chill Time: A Minimum Of 2 Hours
Overall Time: 2.5+ Hours
Ingredients You Need To Make The Rice Krispie Bars:
- 225g Of Mini Marshmallows
- 50g of Unsalted Butter
- 175g Of Nutella
- 175g Of Rice Krispies
Ingredients You Need To Decorate:
- 300g Of White Chocolate
- 150g Of Nutella
How To Make The Rice Krispie Bars:
- Firstly, gather together your equipment and ingredients and line a 9” square, loose-bottomed baking tin with parchment paper.
- Secondly, in a large bowl, add the 175g of Rice Krispies and set to one side.
- Next, in a large saucepan, over a low heat, whilst stirring constantly, melt together the 225g of mini marshmallows and 50g of unsalted butter until smooth.
- When melted, take the saucepan off the heat and stir in the 175g of nutella until smooth.
- Pour the melted marshmallow mixture into the bowl with the rice krispies in and stir together until the rice krispies are fully coated and everything is combined.
- Slightly butter your hands and evenly press the rice krispie mixture into the base of the prepared baking tin. Then, set to one side.
How To Decorate:
- In a small saucepan, over a low heat, melt the 300g of white chocolate.
- Once melted, remove from the heat and pour over the top of the rice krispies and using a spoon, spread out to all four corners.
- In a microwavable bowl, add the 100g of nutella. Place into the microwave and in 10 second blasts, blast the nutella until loosened.
- Drizzle the nutella over the white chocolate and using a knife or cake skewer, swirl the two together until you’re happy with the look of the topping.
- Place the tin into the fridge and chill for a minimum of 2 hours, until everything is perfectly set.
- Finally, once chilled, remove from the fridge and then remove from the tin and using a sharp knife, cut the rice krispie bars into 9-16 pieces and serve.
That’s your Nutella Rice Krispies Bars prepared, decorated, chilled and cut into pieces, ready for you to enjoy!
Notes:
- Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 5 days.
- If you find that your marshmallow mixture splits once adding the nutella, try adding a small amount of milk to bring it back together.
- I’d highly recommend buttering your hands before pressing the rice krispie mixture into the tin as it prevents the mixture from sticking to your hands which in turn, makes it easier to press into the tin.
- If you don’t like nutella, you can change it to any spread you’d prefer. This base recipe works beautifully with many different spreads.
- If you don’t like rice krispies, you could swap them out for cocoa pops.

When tasting, I kept getting a really nostalgic feeling and I couldn’t put my finger on why until my mum mentioned that they reminded her of the Kelloggs ‘rice krispie squares’ bars that I use to get in my pack lunch box in primary school and she hit the nail on the head.
I absolutely adored them as a child and I defiantly agree they are super similar to those bars, only, without tooting my own horn, these bars I’ve sharing with you today are better!
I just can’t get enough of these bars. I cant wait to play around with more flavours so keep those eyes peeled for more coming soon…
{take a shot for every time I’ve said ‘rice krispie bars’ and ‘nutella’ and I think it’s safe to say you’ll be paralytic}
Let me know in the comments below if you make these bars yourself and if you do, what your thoughts are on them. Are you a rice krispie bar lover? Did you love the addition of nutella to these ones?
Sending you all tons of love & hugs as always,
Elle xo
