No-Bake Party Rings Bars Recipe!

Hello lovelies,

I was a 1998 girlie so I grew up having my childhood birthday parties in the early 2000’s and if there’s one party food that stands out to me as a nostalgic treat, it’s party rings!

Such a simple biscuit with it just being a shortcake ring with striped icing on top but let me tell you, it wasn’t a party without these bad boys being served.

I’m not sure if their popularity is the same at parties now days as they were back in the early 2000’s but whilst browsing the biscuit isle the other day, they caught my eye and I immediately knew they would be the perfect addition to my ‘no-bake bars’ series.

Let’s just say, I wasn’t wrong!

Despite party rings being such a simple biscuit, they really do have a unique taste and that really shone through in these bars.

Using 4! Yes 4! Ingredients, these quick and easy ‘no-bake bars’ are not only absolutely delicious but any of my 90/00’s readers want a dose of nostalgia? these are the perfect bars to do just that with.

So, if you’re interested in these bars and fancy giving them a go yourself, you know the drill by now. Keep on scrolling below and you’ll find today’s recipe.

Category: Sweet Treat, No-Bake

Servings: 16 Bars

Prep Time: 10 Minutes

Decorating Time: 10 Minutes

Chilling Time: Minimum Of 4 Hours

Overall Time: 4.5 Hours

Ingredients You Need For The Base:

  • 450 g Of Party Rings Biscuits
  • 150g Of Unsalted Butter, Melted
  • 397g Of Condensed Milk (1x Tin)

Ingredients You Need For Decorating:

  • 350g Of White Chocolate
  • Pink Food Colouring
  • 16 Mini Party Rings

How To Make The Base:

  • Firstly, gather together your equipment and ingredients and line a 9” loose-bottomed, square baking tin with parchment paper.
  • Secondly, in a food processor (or a ziplock bag with a rolling pin), crush up the 450g of party ring biscuits into crumbs.
  • Transfer the biscuit crumbs into a mixing bowl. Add 150g of melted unsalted butter and 397g of condensed milk and mix together until fully combined.
  • Now, press the biscuit mixture into the prepared baking tin, then set to one side.

How To Decorate:

  • In a small microwavable bowl, add the 350g of white chocolate and 2tsp of vegetable oil. Place into the microwave and in 20 second blasts, blast until completely melted.
  • Pour 300g of the melted white chocolate on top of the biscuit mixture base, using a spoon to spread it out evenly. Give the tin a gentle shake to disburse any air bubbles.
  • Place the remaining 50g of melted white chocolate into a small bowl, add 2-3 drops of pink food colouring to the chocolate and mix together until the white chocolate is coloured pink.
  • Transfer the melted pink chocolate into a piping bag, snip the very tip of the bag off and pipe lines from one side of the tin to the other. Using a knife, drag the knife through the chocolate lines to create a feathered effect.
  • Place 16 mini party ring biscuits on top of the chocolate topping.
  • Place into the fridge and allow to chill for at least 4 hours, until the chocolate is solid.
  • Once chilled, take out the fridge and very carefully remove from the tin.
  • Finally, cut into 16 squares and serve.

That’s your No-Bake Party Ring Bars prepared, decorated, chilled and cut, ready for you to enjoy!

Notes:

  • Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 3-5 days or in an airtight container at room temperature for 2-3 days.
  • You can totally adapt this recipe by changing the ingredients to cater to your preferred taste, for example: change the white chocolate for dark or milk chocolate or change the party ring biscuits for a different biscuit – the options are endless.
  • I add 2tsp of vegetable oil into my chocolate as once the bars have finished chilling in the fridge, the oil will allow the chocolate to cut easily without it breaking.

I haven’t tasted a party ring in blooming years and let’s just say, the reunion was beautiful.

The memories of the parties. The nostalgic taste. Everything was perfect and now I officially want to add party rings to all my bakes because the addition of them in today’s bars was sensational.

I’m obsessed with the outcome of today’s bars and I can guarantee any of my party rings lovers out there will be too.

Let me know in the comments below if you make these bars yourself and if you do, what your thoughts are on them. Are you a party rings lover? Did you find their unique flavouring shone through perfectly in these bars?
