No Bake Malteser Slice Recipe!

Hello lovelies,

If you’ve been around here a while, you might remember that back last year I shared with you a ‘no bake kinder bueno bars’ recipe which was an absolute HIT with you guys and is one of my most viewed posts to date.

{https://ellegracedeveson.com/2024/06/19/no-bake-kinder-bueno-bars-recipe/}

The recipe was inspired by the incredible Eloise Head (also known as ‘FitWaffle’ online) and not only was it a hit with you all but it has quickly become a favourite recipe of mine to make and share with my loved ones.

I mean, what’s not to love about this recipe? There’s no baking involved, uses 5 ingredients only, is ridiculously quick & easy to throw together and tastes utterly delicious. It’s a win/win all round.

A couple of weeks back I saw that Eloise had shared a malteser version which I instantly knew I had to give it a make myself and by no surprise, I was obsessed with the outcome.

Therefore, I had to share my version with you guys today! The biscuity base with the malt flavouring and sweet milk chocolatey goodness all works beautifully together to create a bake which is nothing short of perfection… *chef’s kiss*.

So, if you’d like to make this malteser slice yourself, you know the drill. Keep on scrolling below and you’ll find today’s recipe.

Category: Sweet Treat

Servings: 9-12 Slices

Prep Time: 10 Minutes

Chill Time: 5 Hours Overall

Decorating Time: 10 Minutes

Overall Time: 5+ Hours

Ingredients You Need For The Malteser Slices:

  • 350g Of Digestive Biscuits
  • 100g Of Salted Butter, Melted & Cooled
  • 300g Of Condensed Milk
  • 110g Of Maltesers

Ingredients You Need For Topping:

  • 250g Of Milk Chocolate
  • 15g Of Salted Butter
  • 200g Of Maltesers, Broken into Small Pieces

How To Make The Malteser Slices:

  • Firstly, gather together your equipment and ingredients and line a 9” loose-bottomed square baking tin with parchment paper.
  • Secondly, in a food processor (or a ziplock bag with a rolling pin), crush the 350g of digestive biscuits into crumbs.
  • Transfer the digestive biscuit crumbs into a mixing bowl. Add 100g of the cooled melted butter and 300g of condensed milk and mix until combined.
  • Add in the 110g of maltesers and fold through the biscuit mixture.
  • Now, press the biscuit mixture into the prepared baking tin and place into the fridge for 1 hour to chill.
  • In a small heat-proof bowl, add the 250g of milk chocolate and 15g of salted butter. Place into the microwave or over a Bain-Marie and in 20 second blasts, blast until completely melted together (stir to combined the chocolate and butter).
  • Pour the chocolate butter mixture on top of the biscuit mixture base, using a spoon to spread it out evenly. Give the tin a gentle shake to disburse any air bubbles.
  • Sprinkle the broken maltesers over the top of the melted chocolate.
  • Place into the fridge and allow to chill for at least 4 hours, until the chocolate is solid.
  • Finally, once chilled, take out the fridge and very carefully remove from the tin. Cut into 9-12 squares and serve.

That’s your No-Bake Malteser Slice prepared, chilled, decorated and chilled again, ready for you to enjoy!

Notes:

  • Store in an airtight container in the fridge for 3-5 days or in an airtight container outside of the fridge for 2-3 days (I’d personally recommend this slice to be kept in fridge).

The most perfect recipe for a quick make to share with the ones you love. Simple yet utterly delicious!

Big shoutout to Eloise who is the creator of this incredible recipe which I’ve fallen massively in love with and know you guys have too. It’s a HIT all round.

Let me know in the comments below if you make this recipe yourself and if you do, what your thoughts are on it. Do you love this malteser version or prefer the kinder bueno version? Or do you love them both equally?

Sending you all tons of love & hugs as always,

Elle xo
