Hello lovelies,
I probably sound like a broken record at this point but as I’ve previously said, one of my all time favourite christmas flavour combinations is chocolate orange.
Therefore, I couldn’t miss an opportunity to put this delicious combination together into another recipe. I just couldn’t, I’m not even sorry…
If you’ve been around here a while, you’ll know that my household is a huge lover of rocky road. I’ve made my fair share of different types of rocky road at this point but I’ve never made a festive one. So, that had to change.
And what better festive flavouring to put into a rocky road than chocolate orange? And boy, did this slap!
This is another really quick & easy recipe to recreate and whilst the flavours are simple, they really do pack a punch and let’s just say, this rocky road went down an absolute treat with my loved ones. Therefore, I had to share it with you all today.
So, if you like the sound of this chocolate orange rocky road and it’s got you wanting to make a batch of your own, you know the drill. Keep on scrolling below and you’ll find today’s recipe.

Ingredients You Need To Make The Chocolate Orange Rocky Road:
- 125g Of Unsalted Butter
- 125g Of Golden Syrup
- 300g Of Dark Chocolate, Chopped
- 1x Terry’s Milk Chocolate Orange
- 1x Bag Of Terry’s Chocolate Orange Mini’s Sharing Bag
- 150g Of Digestive Biscuits, Crushed Into Chunks
- 200g Of Mini Marshmallows
- 300g Of White Chocolate
How To Make The Chocolate Orange Rocky Road:
- Firstly, gather together your equipment and ingredients and line an 8” baking tin with parchment paper.
- Secondly, in a large bowl, mix together the 150g of crushed digestive biscuits, a bag of terry’s chocolate orange mini’s and 200g of mini marshmallows. Then set to one side.
- Next, in a large saucepan, over a low heat, melt together the 125g of golden syrup and 125g of unsalted butter, until the butter has melted.
- Once melted, take the saucepan off the heat and add the 300g of chopped dark chocolate and 1 whole terry’s chocolate orange and continuously stir until everything has fully melted together and is smooth. Set to one side to cool slightly.
- When cooled, pour the chocolate mixture into the large mixing bowl with the digestives in and mix together until everything is fully coated.
- Pour the rocky road into the prepared baking tin and press down until firmly packed.
- Now, in a microwavable bowl, add 300g of white chocolate. Place the chocolate into the microwave and in 10 second blasts, blast the chocolate until fully melted.
- Pour the melted white chocolate over the top of the rocky road until the top has a smooth, evenly layer of white chocolate across it.
- Place into the fridge and allow the rocky road to chill for 4+ hours, or overnight, until the mixture is firm.
- Finally, once solid, remove from the baking tin and cut into squares, ready to serve to your loved ones.
Notes:
- Store the rocky road in an airtight container, at room temperature for 1-2 weeks or in the refrigerator for up to 3 weeks.
- You can use whatever ingredients you’d prefer to make your rocky road, I just preferred keeping it simple today.

When I moved to the U.S., I was worried that I wouldn’t be able to get a Terry’s Chocolate Orange for Christmas (a childhood/family tradition), but luckily they are fairly widely available. I can give this yummy recipe a try as it sounds like a perfect treat!
