Apple & Pecan Skillet Brownie Recipe!

Hello lovelies,

I absolutely loved the outcome of my cookie dough skillet recipe which I uploaded a couple of months ago and it instantly got me wanting to create more yummy recipes in my skillet.

I was doing my nightly routine of scrolling through Pinterest looking for inspiration, when I came across this amazing blog called ‘Bunny’s Warm Oven’. She had created this amazing apple & pecan skillet brownie and I knew, from the moment I laid eyes on that recipe, that I had to make it asap.

What I love about this recipe is that it is completely different to any brownie I’ve made before. It isn’t your typical chocolate fudge brownie, actually it’s far from that. It’s made up of gorgeous spices, apple chunks and pecans – which if you know me, you’ll know I LOVE!

This really is the definition of autumn. It’s warm, it’s homely and one slice is defiantly not enough. As you take a bite, your mouth is instantly hit with a array of spices which have coated the apples and pecans beautifully and the centre is super moist. Tell me straight, does that not sound amazing? Honestly, I’m proper chuffed with how this brownie turned out and I think you will be too.

Although, if you don’t have a skillet and your worried you won’t be able to make this, I promise that you too can make this delicious brownie. Rather than placing the brownie batter into a skillet, you can just pour it into a lined baking tin. It will still taste just as good! I personally just loved the idea of cooking it in my skillet.

{ With all that being said, I just wanted to clarify that I cannot take any credit for todays blogpost, it’s completely inspired by Bunny’s Warm Oven. if you’d like to check out her blog, it’s here: https://bunnyswarmoven.net/ }

So, if this brownie takes your fancy, get your baking gear on, gather your ingredients and equipment and let’s get creating:

  • Place the brownie batter into your greased skillet and place the skillet into the oven for around 35-40 minutes until the sides are dry and a skewer placed into the centre comes out clean.
  • Finally, once baked, take the skillet brownie out the oven and allow to cool in skillet for 20 minutes before cutting up and serving.

That’s your Apple & Pecan Skillet Brownie prepared, baked and ready for you to enjoy!

If this doesn’t get you feeling all types of autumnal and homely, I don’t know what will.

Just imagine this warm, spiced brownie finished with a dollop of cold vanilla icecream which is slowly melting on top – just sounds heavenly, right?

Also, can we just take a moment to appreciate how damn EASY this recipe is to create? Any one of you with any baking skills, wether that be none or lots, could easily throw this brownie together. That’s what I loved most about this recipe!

Let me know in the comments below if you make this apple & pecan brownie yourself and if you do, what your thoughts are on it. Are you loving the difference between this brownie and your typical chocolate brownie?

Sending you all tons of love & hugs as always,
