Hello my lovelies,
So every year I see all the youtubers and bloggers do “The Christmas Tag” which is filled with questions all relating to Christmas (obviously haha).
I’ve always wanted to do it but since I never had either one of those sites until i started my blog in July, I’ve never had the chance to. So today Ive decided I’m going to do my first Christmas tag which I’m extremely excited to do.
I’m going to make it a tradition to do this tag every year so I can see if any of my answers ever change. I’m not one of these people who are set in their ways, I do tend to chop and change my favourite songs, films etc so it’ll be interesting to see what happens as I plan to be blogging for a very long time!
I always seem to go off subject when writing so before I go on anymore, let’s get started;
Q1) What Is Your Favourite Christmas Film?
A1) I’d have to say my all time favourite Christmas film is Santa Claus 1 & 2. It’s been a favourite of mine since I was a child and I without a doubt over watch it every year as i truly love it!
Q2) Have You Ever Had A White Christmas?
A2) I wish! I think the last time England ever had a white Christmas was back in the 1970’s when my parents were younger. Every year I hope and pray we’ll wake up to a white scene but we never do.
Q3) Where Do You Usually Spend Your Holidays?
A3) I spend Christmas Day at home with my parents, this has been tradition since I was born. If you’d like to read all my traditions for the holidays as I do have a few I’ll leave the link here: https://ellegracedeveson.wordpress.com/2016/12/08/blogmas-my-christmas-traditions/
Q4) What Is Your Favourite Christmas Song?
A4) well I have three or four that I play on repeat constantly but I’d have to say my favourite of them all is “Band Aid – Do They Know It’s Christmas Time” it’s one of those songs which is an absolute classic and for a good cause.
Q5) Do You Open Any Presents Christmas Eve?
A5) I actually don’t! I never have. My mum always offers me a present to open but I never take her up on the offer as I love to open all my presents Christmas Day. I’m a little strange I know but it’s something I’ve always done and prefer it this way.
Q6) Can You Name All Of Santas Reindeers?
A6) I honestly couldn’t. I know some of their names – Rudolf, Dancer, Prancer and Comet but that’s all I can just about remember. In all fairness I suffer long term memory loss so Id never stand a chance of remembering them all hahah.
Q7) What Holiday Traditions Are You Looking Forward To Most This Year?
A7) spending time with my family and friends. We’ve had a tough year this year with many different things happening so spending quality time together is what I love most. We spend a lot of time together in December whilst celebrating Christmas and that’s what I’m so grateful for. Making memories to cheris for life is what makes my heart happy! Obviously I’m also beyond excited to open my presents and find out what I’ve got.
Q8) Is Your Christmas Tree Real Or Fake?
A8) our Christmas tree is fake. We’ve never ever had a real one and to be honest I’m not really bothered that we haven’t. Our Christmas tree looks incredible every year and you wouldn’t even notice it’s fake!
Q9) What Is Your All Time Favourite Holiday Food/Sweet Treat?
A9) when I could eat my all time favourite treat at Christmas was cheese doritos with garlic & herb dip from Sainsbury’s. Absolute heaven!
Q10) Be Honest: Do You Prefer Giving Or Recieving Gifts Better?
A10) I’m someone who loves to give other people presents as a thank you for everything they’ve done for me. I love watching people open their presents and knowing how happy they are with them. I’m so shy when people buy me gifts, I’m so appreciative and grateful towards them for buying me presents but I do blush ALOT. I don’t know why!
Q11) What Is The Best Christmas Gift You’ve Ever Recieved?
A11) I receive so many amazing gifts off my family and friends, I’m so lucky in that respect. If I had to choose over the last couple of years it would be either my Olly Murs concert tickets or my Adele concert tickets! Both are my idols.
Q12). What Would Be Your Dream Place To Visit For The Holiday Season?
A12) without a doubt New York. It’s my one wish to visit New York at Christmas time, walk round all the tourist destinations, see the lights, shop till I drop and soak up the Christmas atmosphere! Ahhhh one day.
Q13) Are You A Pro-Wrapper Or Do You Fail Miserably?
A13) I get so blooming stressed out whilst wrapping, I end up aching like mad and usually giving up after 15 minutes so I’d say I fail miserably in that respect BUT once my presents are finally wrapped, they end up looking pretty darn good if I do say so myself.
Q14) Most Memorable Christmas Moment?
A14) I genuinely don’t have just the one. Every year is memorable in my opinion, I don’t have one favourite memory!
Q15) What Made You Realise The Truth About Santa?
A15) my mum ended up telling me. I won’t say no more.
Q16) Do You Make New Years Resolutions? If So Do You Keep To them?
A16) well every year I make New Years resolutions but do I keep to them? Not really. I’m terrible, I forget about them after a couple of days. I obviously set myself goals throughout the year but there’s never just the one I keep too if that makes any sense.
Q17) What Makes The Holidays Special To You?
A17) my family and friends. It’s the time of year when everyone’s in good spirits, the arguments get put to one side and people are joined together to make peace. I’m so blessed to have so many special people in my life who support me, encourage me and make me who I am today. The fact I’m able to make memories which last a life time with them is what makes Christmas so special to me.
Q18) What’s Your Favourite Christmas Scent?
A18) Ginger Bread! That is the smell in which dreams are made of. Whenever I smell freshly baked ginger bread i instantly think of Christmas.
Q19) What is On Top Of Your Tree?
A19) an angel, we’ve honestly had this angel for so many years that our tree wouldn’t be the same without it. She tops our tree off nicely, although, she can be a bit of a nightmare as she does have a tendency to fall off multiple times during the process of putting the decks on the tree.
Q20) What Do You Wear Christmas Day?
A20) I usually wear a new pair of Pj’s which I get gifted every year. They’re very festive, cosy and soft! Just what you want of Christmas Day.
Q21) Have You Finished Christmas Shopping Yet?
A21) unfortunately not. I love the process of buying gifts but I also find it incredibly stressful as the towns are full and some people (AKA my mum) are so hard to buy for. We’re hoping to have it done by the end of this week! *fingers crossed*
Q22) What Christmas Special, TV Special Are You Most Looking Forward Too?
A22) well usually I love to watch Downton Abbey but I don’t think it’s on this year which is gutting. But I do also love watching Celebrity Juice, Call The Midwife and of course all the soaps. I cannot wait!
Q23) Do You Open Your Presents Christmas Morning Or Eve?
A23) Christmas Morning! I love waking up and opening my presents, I genuinely don’t think I could wait all day as the excitment eats me alive. Yes I’m 18 and yes mentally I’m still 5, please don’t judge me haha.
Q24) What’s Your Favourite Holiday Drink?
A24) honestly I’m not a big lover of normal hot chocolate, the smell actually makes me feel sick but Costa’s Toffee Apple Hot Chocolate is something very special. A real game changer.
Q25) Are You On The Naughty Or Nice List This Year?
A25) of course the nice list, well I hope so anyway otherwise I’ll be devastated!
And that’s it for the Christmas Tag!

Love all your answers! I adore the gingerbread smell, too. If I’m not baking the actual cookies, I’ve got a candle with that scent! Haha. 😊 Thanks for sharing.

Thank you so much lovely! It’s the best smell isn’t it, I literally would fill every room in the house with that smell if I could. Did you make gingerbread this year?xxxx

Snap! I literally blush (and sometimes cry) whenever I open a gift. I love to give gifts and see their reactions! I just love Christmas🙈xxxx
Hey Elle! here from #bloggerspromohour. First, of all I am the SAME when it comes to new year’s resolutions :)) I have to do mini goals lol bc one goal for the whole year just doesn’t work for me either! And secondly, that apple toffee hot chocolate sounds insane & I want it now.
Author
hello Jess! I think mini goals is much better than doing big goals for me. Making sure i hit the mini goals one step at a time works so well and I personally feel it’s much more rewarding for me. Have you set any mini goals for this year? It’s absolutely amazing, I would highly recommend giving it a go if it’s still in costa!xxxx
Same here :)) yes, actually I’m starting a plank challenge soon with some other bloggers! (You should join too if you want!) I’m sure you’ll reach all your goals Elle ❤ happy 2017!
