Avon, Blemish Clearing Mask Review!

Hello lovelies,

One of my New Years Resolutions this year was to take more care of myself and by that I mean my skin. As you may know, I’ve suffered a tough battle with my skin over the last few years –  it’s gone through hell and back to be completely honest with you and I’ve been so blessed to come out with only a few scars to prove so ( you can read my skin story here: https://ellegracedeveson.wordpress.com/2016/09/25/my-skin-story/ ).

Apart from applying all my treatments I’ve been prescribed, I’ve never really tried out any skin care products outside of prescription ones so I decided to fully throw myself into the skin care world and get myself into doing so.

For Christmas, I asked my mum if she could buy me some skincare masks to try, test and review not only for myself but for you guys too. I wanted masks which targeted specific areas of my skin which I find troublesome and make me a little selfconcious so I could properly see if the masks made any kind of difference. One of the main problems I find with my skin is acne – I’ve dealt with it ever since I hit my teenage years and starting going through puberty but since becoming ill and dealing with the ongoing stress I do, my acne has defiantly worsened.

So my mum kindly brought three different types of skincare masks for me to try out and today I’m reviewing for you the; “Skin Clear – Blemish Clearing Mask” which I was eager to try straight away!

Background On Product:

This “Skin Clear – Blemish Clearing Peel Off Mask” comes in a 75ml squeezey tube.

This product claims to have “Blemish Busting Technology” which helps reduce the appearance of blemishes overnight.

“To Use: every PM after cleansing, cover the affected area with a thin layer allow to dry overnight then peel off in the morning”

My Review:

as I’ve mentioned above, I do have acne prone skin so I knew my review on this could be useful for those who also suffer with the dreaded acne too. I’ve been using this product nearly everyday for 4 weeks and I defiantly noticed it was doing things for my skin.

I put this on just before I go to sleep. I cleanse my face first making sure all my makeup is off then I apply a thin layer of the mask to my face and allow it to dry naturally over night. by the morning it’s ready to peal off, it’s such a easy process and is such a satisfying feeling!

The first thing I’ve noticed about this mask is how hydrating it is. I’ve got incredibly dry skin, it is constantly peeling and I find it very hard to apply makeup as it flakes off again but since I’ve been using this mask I’ve noticed how much more hydrated my skin looks and feels. My skin is no where near as flaky as before using this mask and when applying makeup the application looks flawless which is something I’ve always dreamed of. I know this isn’t the actual reason for the mask but if you need hydration, I’d recommend this mask just for that!

Furthermore, I’ve noticed that if the night before applying the mask I have any kind of spot brewing (I know that’s not the terminology but..) that by the morning, the spot is right at the surface ready to pop or it’s cleared. Also, if any of my spots have redness around them, which they usually do, by the morning the redness around the spot has gone right down.

I suffer quite badly with boil like spots which I personally think look like mountains on my face which make me incredibly insecure and I’ve never had a prescription cream that’s made them go down so I didn’t have much faith that this mask would but damn I was wrong! as long as I continue to apply the mask of a night time, I notice within two-three days the mountains begin to fade away. I do scar quite badly but with this mask, that rarely happens.

I couldn’t be happier with the results I’ve been getting with this mask, if I’m completely honest I’m quite overwhelmed with the way it’s saving my skin. I’ve dealt with problematic skin for so many years it’s so nice to find a mask which has completely blown me away and it’s so affordable. Why buy a expensive mask which may give you luxury but doesn’t give you the results it’s promised when you can buy a affordable mask which gives you everything it promises and more?

I’d highly recommend giving this mask ago, I can’t speak on behalf of all skin types but for me this worked and I’d hope it will for you too. A review on the other two masks will be coming up soon. If there’s any other Avon products or any makeup products/brands you’d like me to review, please leave them below or message me on my social media accounts!

Also, if you have any skin care products/brands recommendations for me, please let me know. I’m wanting to try loads this year.

Sending you tons of love as always,

Elle xo

I’ve never tried any products from Avon, but I always hear good things about them. This mask sounds so perfect for me, and such an affordable option. Another product added to my wishlist. Great review x
