Chocolate & Cherry Icecream | Ninja Creami Recipes!

Hello lovelies,

With the warmer months approaching, I’m diving head first into my ninja creami ‘recipes I want to make’ list and I couldn’t be more excited to share them with you all.

The tropical sorbet recipe I shared with you back in February ( was just a lil insight into the delicious frozen goods to come, so you guys best saddle up, it’s about to get real icy over here.

One thing you’ll notice throughout all these frozen goods recipes, is that they’ll all have the most incredible concoctions of flavours, some may be a lil out there whilst others will be flavours we know and love but one thing I can guarantee, is that there’ll be something for everyone – that’s a promise!

Today’s icecream is a flavour combination that we all know and love, chocolate & cherry!

I was looking for ninja creami inspiration on Pinterest when I stumbled across a chocolate & cherry icecream recipe and instantly felt drawn to it.

Chocolate & cherry is a favourite flavour combination of mine so i instantly knew I had to whip a tub up of my own and share it with you guys asap.

{todays recipe is inspired by:}

Category: Desert / Sweet Treat

Servings: 2

Prep Time: 5 Minutes

Freeze Time: 24 Hours

Machine Time: 2-4 Minutes

Overall Time: 24+ Hours

Ingredients You Need For The Icecream:

  • 240g Of Red Cherry Fruit Filling
  • 100ml Of Double Cream
  • 100ml Of Whole Milk

Ingredients You Need For Mix Ins:

  • 150g Of Milk Chocolate Chips

How To Make The Icecream:

  • Firstly, gather together your equipment and ingredients.
  • Secondly, in a ninja creami pint tub, add 240g of cherry fruit filling, 100ml of double cream and 100ml of whole milk and stir together with a spoon.
  • Level out the mixture so that it is under the maximum fill line.
  • Place the lid on top of the tub and place the tub into the freezer on a level shelf or draw for 24 hours.
  • Once the 24 hours is up, remove the tub from the freezer.
  • Click the tub into the ninja creami machine, turn the machine on and press the ‘icecream’ setting.
  • When the cycle has finished, remove the tub and inspect it. If the Icecream is crumbly, add a dash of milk into the tub and click back into the machine and press the ‘re-spin’ option.
  • Once re-spun, create a well in the centre of the ice cream that is about 1 to 2 inches wide and extends right to the bottom of the tub.
  • Fill the well with the 150g of chocolate chips and press the ‘mix-in’ setting.
  • Finally, once the chocolate chips are mixed in and the ice cream is the perfect consistency, remove from the machine and serve immediately.

That’s your Chocolate & Cherry Icecream prepared, frozen, spun and spun again, ready for you to enjoy!

  • Any leftovers can be saved in the freezer. Either re-spin the icecream following the steps above to get it back to its original consistency or sit out at room temperature for 15-20 minutes before consumption.

The vibrancy of this icecream is enough to draw me in, let alone the powerful kick of flavour it has! It’s just too good.

If you’re a cherry lover, this icecream is an absolute must try this summer! The cherry works beautifully alongside the chocolate chips to create the most incredible icecream. I’m obsessed (if you couldn’t tell already haha).

Let me know in the comments below if you make this icecream yourself and if you do, what your thoughts are on it. Are you a chocolate & cherry lover? Did this icecream live up to your expectations?

Sending you all tons of love & hugs as always,

Elle xo
